Working principle of Circulating Dryer

Jan 17, 2024

Circulating dryer is a type of drying equipment that is commonly used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and metallurgy. It works by circulating hot air over the materials being dried, which allows for efficient and uniform drying. The working principle of a circulating dryer involves four main steps:

Step 1: Loading of materials
The materials to be dried are loaded into the drying chamber of the circulating dryer. The chamber is then sealed to prevent any moisture from escaping.

Step 2: Circulation of hot air
Once the materials are loaded, the heating system of the dryer is turned on. Hot air is then circulated around the chamber through a network of fans and ducts. The temperature and humidity level of the air is carefully controlled to ensure optimal drying conditions.

Step 3: Evaporation of moisture
As the hot air circulates around the materials, moisture within them begins to evaporate. This moisture is then carried away by the circulating air and expelled from the drying chamber through a vent.

Step 4: Unloading and packaging
Once the drying process is complete, the materials are unloaded from the drying chamber and packaged for storage and transport.

The circulating dryer is a highly efficient and cost-effective method for drying materials. It allows for large quantities of materials to be dried quickly and uniformly. The gentle heating process also helps to preserve the quality of the materials being dried, making it particularly useful for drying sensitive or fragile materials.
