Spray dryer is an ideal drying equipment for soybean protein

Soy protein is processed from soy protein, also known as green milk. It can inhibit cholesterol in the body, prevent cardiovascular disease, and remove excess cholesterol in the blood.


There are currently two drying techniques, ie, freeze-drying and spray-drying to prepare soybean protein. The freeze-drying process is to place soybean milk in a freezing environment in a low-temperature environment, and then heat and dry it in a vacuum environment. The spray drying technology uses an atomizer to turn the soy milk material liquid into small droplets, and the hot air and the liquid droplets fully exchange heat to dry the soy milk material liquid instantly.


When using a spray dryer to produce soy protein, the high temperature will denature the soy protein. The effect of soy protein gel is its denaturation, and excessive denaturation can lead to the formation of gel. Therefore, when the soybean protein is dried, the spray dryer will add lecithin and dextrin. Due to the low drying cost and low equipment investment of the spray dryer, the spray dryer is an ideal drying equipment for soybean protein.
