How to improve spray drying granulation efficiency and powder quality, thereby reducing production cost and improving product qualification rate, is a topic that ceramic workers have been discussing. Spray drying is one of the largest energy consumers in ceramic factories. Its fuel consumption accounts for about 20% of the fuel consumption of ceramic products and about 30% of the powder production cost. It is particularly important to improve the milling efficiency and save energy; at the same time , The good quality of the powder directly affects the pass rate of the later products. Increasing the slurry temperature can improve the efficiency of spray drying granulation.

Since the mud is a suspension of dissolved gas, with the increase of temperature, the dissolved gas in the water shows a significant decreasing trend. Increasing the temperature of the mud can reduce the content of mud gas. At the same time, when the temperature increases, the viscosity of the mud decreases, the fluidity increases, the power consumption of atomization decreases, and the surface tension of the mud decreases, so that the slurry is easily torn into droplets, and spherical particles are obtained. At low temperature, there will be more "apple-shaped" particles, which will easily cause the "arch bridge" effect, reduce the bulk density of the powder, and affect the quality of the powder. To increase the temperature of the slurry, the waste heat of the spray tower exhaust gas or the kiln (through the heat exchange tube) can be used to exchange heat with the slurry and then improve the granulation efficiency of the spray dryer.
