What problems are prone to occur in the production process of spray drying equipment?

Some spray drying equipment adds granulation equipment, but increases thermal denaturation of the product and loss of aroma. The spray drying equipment effectively solves the integration problem of drying tower, separation chamber and cooling chamber. During the decelerated drying stage of spray drying, the powder temperature increases as the moisture decreases. In this regard, the spray dryer is equipped with a flow cooling chamber at the lower part of the drying tower. The system has the fine powder separated by cyclone, which is transported to the flow cooling chamber at the lower part of the separation chamber by air, and cooled to about 30 ℃ together with the powder separated by gravity in the separation chamber. discharge, resulting in good control of thermal denaturation.

The spray drying equipment has fast drying speed and good product performance.
After the material liquid is sprayed, it is atomized into dispersed particles, and the surface area is greatly increased. After contacting with hot air, the drying process can be completed in a very short time. Since the drying process is completed in an instant, the product particles can basically maintain a spherical shape similar to that of droplets, with good dispersibility, good reconstitution and high solubility.

The main manifestation is that wet powder adheres everywhere in the drying room of the spray drying equipment. The reason is that the feeding amount is too large and cannot be fully evaporated; the heating of the drying chamber is insufficient before the spraying starts; when the spraying starts, the unloading flow adjustment is too large; the feeding liquid is unstable. In view of the different reasons for the above problems, it can be taken in order to appropriately reduce the supply amount of hot air, and the inlet and outlet temperatures of the spray are appropriately increased. At the beginning, the flow rate is small and gradually increases, and it is adjusted to check whether the pipeline is blocked until it is appropriate, and the content of the solid material is adjusted. Ensure the fluidity of the material liquid.

Spray dryer, centrifugal spray dryer and multi-nozzle spray dryer are three typical spray equipment. The spray direction of centrifugal spray and multi-nozzle spray is horizontal or vertical. When in the horizontal direction, in order to have good contact and improve drying efficiency, the hot air will form eddy currents, which is prone to adhesion phenomenon, thermal denaturation of adhered and accumulated materials, and difficulty in cleaning. When the hot air speed is along the axis of the drying tower, the hot air line is generally offset, the hot air cannot be mixed with the material liquid, the efficiency is low, and there is a partial adhesion phenomenon.

Product moisture content is too high.
Exhaust temperature is the main factor affecting the moisture content of the finished product, so the reason why the moisture content of the product is too high is generally that the exhaust temperature is too low. The exhaust air temperature can be adjusted by the amount of feed. Therefore, the corresponding measures are to appropriately reduce the supply amount and increase the exhaust temperature.

The product powder is too fine, the powder running phenomenon is serious, and the product yield rate is low.
Product particles that are too fine will affect solubility and adjust performance. The reason is that the fixed quantity is too low or the supply quantity is too small. The remedy is to increase the solid content of the material liquid, increase the feed amount, and increase the intake air temperature. The loss of running powder is too much, which greatly affects the yield of finished products. The general reason is that the separation effect of the cyclone separator is poor. If this happens, it is necessary to check whether the cyclone separator is deformed by knocking and collision, improve the air tightness of the inlet and outlet of the cyclone separator, and check whether the inner wall and outlet are blocked. Of course, the separation efficiency is related to the specific gravity and particle size of the powder. For some materials, secondary dust removal can be added as needed.

The rotational speed of the centrifugal nozzle of the spray drying equipment is too low, and the evaporation is too low.
Mainly due to the failure of the centrifugal nozzle components, the nozzle should be stopped and the internal components of the nozzle should be checked. The reason may be that the air volume of the whole system is reduced, the hot air inlet temperature is low, and the equipment has air leakage, and the cold air enters the drying room. The remedial measures are to check whether the rotation speed of the centrifuge is normal, check whether the position of the regulating valve of the centrifuge is correct, check whether the pipes of the air filter and air heater are blocked, check whether the grid voltage is normal, check whether the electric heater is working normally, and check the equipment. Whether the connection of each part is sealed.

There is noise and vibration when the centrifugal nozzle is running.
Mainly due to improper cleaning and maintenance of the nozzle, residual substances in the nozzle or bending deformation of the main shaft, and the dynamic balance of the centrifugal disc may also deteriorate. Solution: Check whether there is any residual material in the spray disc. If it is found that the spindle should be cleaned immediately, the dynamic balance of the centrifugal disc should be replaced for adjustment or replacement.
