The drying air is filtered and heated to the desired input temperature in a gas heater, then the heated air is released through an air distribution duct located at the top of the spray dryer. The air distributor is equipped with an adjustable valve to provide ideal conditions in the drying chamber.
The bottom of the drying chamber is conical. The tilt angle is 50 degrees. In this way, the product in the drying chamber is easily discharged.
The dry powder and air are transferred to a bag filter where the powder is separated from the dry air. Baghouses are often purged with compressed air. The powder is picked up by a rotary valve located below the baghouse and clean air is released to the atmosphere.
The powder from the baghouse is conveyed to a pneumatic cooler, which is then further conveyed to a conveying system for air cooling. The powder and air are fed into the cyclone, and the finished product is obtained by a rotary valve located below the cyclone. The air is sent to the bag filter for cleaning.
The whole device is controlled by a panel equipped with PLC.
Advantages of spray dryers
* Can be widely used for drying products in pharmaceutical, ceramics and other industries
*Capacity is very flexible.
*Because the drying process is too short, the time for the product to contact the hot air is very short, so the quality of the product is good.
*The process is continuous and can be fully automated.
*Accessories such as pumps and nozzles are easy to purchase.
