Instant tea spray drying process

There are generally three ways to drink tea:
First, the refined dry tea is brewed with hot water. In China, this is still a major way of drinking tea.
Second, the tea leaves are soaked into canned tea before drinking.
Third, the active ingredients in the tea leaves are extracted, concentrated, and dried into instant tea powder, which is then consumed. This is done to meet the efficient, fast-paced demands of modern life.


The process of instant tea spray dryer is as follows:
1) Dry and crush the tea leaves
Tea leaves were pulverized with a grinder to obtain 40-mesh tea powder.


2) Immersion and extraction
Take a certain amount of tea powder and add 0.5% β-cyclodextrin and 0.025% EDTA to prevent the loss of active ingredients. Add a certain proportion of distilled water and extract at a certain temperature and time.


3) Vacuum concentration
The filtrate was filtered and concentrated by filter cloth, and then concentrated under a vacuum of 0.95Mpa to obtain a material with a dry matter of about 20%.


4) Spray drying
The emulsion is obtained by means of a homogenizer, and spray-dried under the conditions of an inlet air temperature of 200-220°C and an outlet air temperature of 85-90°C.
