Description
(Talc Powder) Spray Dryer is the most widely used process in liquid shaping technology. It is suitable for producing powder and granules solid products from solution, emulsion, soliquoid, and pumpable paste materials. Therefore, when the particle size, final moisture, bulk density and granules shape meet the accurate standard, centrifugal spray drying is a ideal drying process.
Working Principle
Liquid material is atomized through a special pressure nozzle with a high-pressure pump. Hot air enters the dryer after being adjusted by an air distributor. The material and hot air is mixed in the dryer, rapidly carries on heat and mass transfer. Powder or granular products are produced in a very short time. Products with larger particles size are discharged from the bottom of the dryer, smaller particles enter the cyclone with hot air. The exhaust gas is discharged into the air after dust removal in a scrubber. The dryers can be divided into high, middle and low-pressure spray dryers according to different pressures of atomization, while taking into account different flow fields, they are divided into co-current, fountain mode and counter-current spray dryers.
Characteristics:
1. The drying speed is fast, the surface area of the material liquid is increased after atomization, and 95% to 98% of the water can be evaporated instantly in the hot air flow. It only takes 5-15 seconds to complete a thousand drying, with instant drying characteristics.
2. The special air distribution device reduces the resistance of the equipment and effectively provides the air handling device of the dryer.
3. The production process is simplified and suitable for continuous control of production. Liquids with a moisture content of 40-90% can be dried into powder once, reducing crushing, screening and other processes to improve product purity.
4. The material can complete the drying process in a short time, which is suitable for the drying of heat sensitive materials and can maintain the color, fragrance and taste of the material.
5. The product has good dispersibility, fluidity and solubility, and the product particle size, looseness, and water content are adjustable within a certain range.
Applicable Materials
Talc Powder
Talc is a clay mineral, composed of hydrated magnesium silicate with the chemical formula Mg3Si4O10(OH)2. Talc in powdered form, often combined with corn starch, is used as baby powder. This mineral is used as a thickening agent and lubricant; is an ingredient in ceramics, paint, and roofing material; and is a main ingredient in many cosmetics. It occurs as foliated to fibrous masses, and in an exceptionally rare crystal form. It has a perfect basal cleavage and an uneven flat fracture, and it is foliated with a two-dimensional platy form.
a) Chemical industry: white carbon black, concrete admixture, barium sulfate, basic chromium sulfate, alumina, titanium oxide, kaolin, ferrite, talc, carbide, fertilizer, dye, detergent, ACR additives, Latex, water purifier, resin, plastic, cryolite, etc.

f) Environmental protection: flue gas desulfurization, papermaking black liquor and pharmaceutical waste liquid treatment, etc.

Components of centrifugal spray dryer equipment:
This process equipment is composed of five parts: feeding system, heating system, drying tower system, receiving system, and electric control system.
(A) Feeding system:
The peristaltic pump can evenly deliver the slurry to the atomizer, and the feeding speed can be automatically adjusted.
Features: Driven by a DC brushless motor, stable feeding and silent operation. It has the functions of displaying the rotating speed and quantifying the speed.
The atomizer is an electric atomizer with water cooling device, frequency conversion control, bearings and other accessories are all well-known domestic brands. The line speed of the atomizer is> 120 m/s. The atomizer is vertical blades and the material is fed in a rectangular channel. It can quickly turn the slurry into a mist continuously and uniformly, and the surface area of the particles is enlarged to form a good heat exchange with the clean hot air, so that the moisture is instantly evaporated and vaporized by the induced draft fan to draw out and empty.
(B) Heating system:
The drying air entering the tower through the electric heater is air filtered. The primary filter and the intermediate filter are non-woven fabrics to prevent flying insects from entering the tower. The heating process uses electric heating to complete the heating process to meet the heat requirements of the entire system with enough heat.
(C) Drying room:
The drying chamber is composed of hot air volute, hot air distributor, air disperser, inner tower body, tower body frame, outer tower body, discharge pipe, insulation material, observation cleaning door, lamp hole, etc. The clean air filtered by the air filter enters the hot air volute through the electric heater and hot air pipe, and enters the drying tower evenly through the hot air distributor. The hot air distributor can adjust the rotation angle according to the characteristics of the material to control the stay of the material time.
(D) Receiving system:
The main material collection system of this equipment is collected by the cyclone separator, part of the fine material is collected by the secondary cyclone collector, and the discharge port is equipped with a manual butterfly valve to collect the material from the collecting barrel.
(E) Electronic control system:
The complete spray drying equipment is controlled by a standard electronic control system, which can achieve the following functions:
