Advantages of pulse combustion spray dryer

Pulse combustion spray dryer, compared with traditional spray dryer, can granulate high-quality powder. In the spray drying technology, in the fields of food, chemicals, mineral and nutritional supplements, chemicals and plastic battery materials, a great improvement in production cost and performance is expected. As long as it is a raw material, it can be dried in a conventional spray dryer, or it can also be dried, in most cases a pulse combustion spray dryer. Even if the raw material cannot be dried in a conventional spray dryer, there is a possibility of drying if a pulse combustion spray dryer is used. For the development of new products and new customers, to customers who are making improvements to existing products, spray dryer manufacturers provide new options by innovative spray drying technology.

Drying advantages of pulse combustion spray dryer:
Compared with the conventional spray dryer, the pulse dryer is superior in four points.
① Hard particles. Compared with the conventional spray dryer in the dryer, the powder has higher hardness and can be granulated at a higher viscosity. Therefore, the cost per unit weight of the powder required to dry can be drastically reduced.

② Pulse machine, compared with the traditional spray dryer, the heat transmission speed is a very fast feature. Slurries with pulsed airflow, compared to conventional spray dryers, will be exposed to temperatures as high as 815°C. The heat transfer is very fast, drying and then done in seconds. In the example of the starting material, the thermal efficiency is 1475.6 kJ per 0.45 kg to remove moisture. Also, since the processing temperature is lowered to rapidly evaporate, even when the particles are in the atomization zone, the hard surface of the particles will be in a protected state. Even for weak materials against heat, it will be possible to apply higher input temperatures.

③Less air flow
Since the air consumption is reduced, it results in a reduction in electricity costs for the air cooling fan compared to the conventional spray dryer which can make smaller drying chambers.

④The dryer required for low-cost maintenance does not use high-pressure pumps and high-rotation equipment, such as conventional spray dryers. Consumables are not used during nebulization. In the treatment of abrasives and corrosives, there is an outstanding advantage. No high pressure pumps, nozzles, rotating discs are used. The spraying is done in the exhaust jet by the pulse burner, the slurry I just sent in the low pressure from the atomizer.

In conventional spray drying, the nozzle or rotating disk starts to age and the mechanical changes that occur in the atomization will also change the particles. In the pulse dryer, the consumable parts of the nebulizer are not used. During the atomization process, energy is added evenly at different temperatures, and each particle is uniform. Thus, in addition to granules obtained by conventional spray dryers, hardened granules can also be obtained, the particle size of which will be smaller than that obtained by conventional spray dryers.
