It is suitable for producing powder and granules solid products from solution, emulsion, soliquoid, and pumpable paste materials. Therefore, when the particle size, final moisture, bulk density and granules shape meet the accurate standard, centrifugal spray drying is an ideal drying process.



Working Principle

Liquid material is atomized through a special pressure nozzle with a high-pressure pump. Hot air enters the dryer after being adjusted by an air distributor. The material and hot air is mixed in the dryer, rapidly carries on heat and mass transfer. Powder or granular products are produced in a very short time. Products with larger particles size are discharged from the bottom of the dryer, smaller particles enter the cyclone with hot air. The exhaust gas is discharged into the air after dust removal in a scrubber. The dryers can be divided into high, middle and low-pressure spray dryers according to different pressures of atomization, while taking into account different flow fields, they are divided into co-current, fountain mode and counter-current spray dryers.


Characteristics:

1. The drying speed is fast, and the surface area of the material liquid is greatly increased after atomization. In the hot air flow, 95%-98% of the water can be evaporated instantly, and the drying time is only a few seconds, which is especially suitable for the drying of heat-sensitive materials.

2. The product has good uniformity, fluidity and solubility, high purity and good quality.

3. Simplified production process and convenient operation and control. For liquids with a moisture content of 40-60% (up to 90% for special materials), the liquid can be dried into powder products at one time, without crushing and screening after drying, reducing production procedures and improving product purity. The product particle size, bulk density and water content can be adjusted by changing the operating conditions within a certain range, and the control and management are very convenient.

Aluminium oxide (IUPAC name) or aluminum oxide (American English) is a chemical compound of aluminium and oxygen with the chemical formula Al2O3. It is the most commonly occurring of several aluminium oxides, and specifically identified as aluminium(III) oxide. It is commonly called alumina and may also be called aloxide, aloxite, or alundum depending on particular forms or applications. It occurs naturally in its crystalline polymorphic phase α-Al2O3 as the mineral corundum, varieties of which form the precious gemstones ruby and sapphire. Al2O3 is significant in its use to produce aluminium metal, as an abrasive owing to its hardness, and as a refractory material owing to its high melting point.
