Therefore, when the particle size, final moisture, bulk density and granules shape meet the accurate standard, centrifugal spray drying is a ideal drying process.



Working Principle

After filtering and heating, the air enters the air distributor on the top of the equipment, and the hot air enters the drying chamber evenly in a spiral shape. The material liquid passes through the high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower body, and (rotating) sprays into very fine misty liquid beads, which are in cocurrent contact with hot air and can be dried into finished products in a short time. The finished product is continuously output from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, and the exhaust gas is evacuated by the fan.


Characteristics of Spray Dryer

(1) The drying speed is rapid. After the material liquid is sprayed, the surface area increases. In the high-temperature airflow, most of the water can be evaporated instantly, and the drying time generally only needs about 5-40S.

(2) The temperature of the droplets during the drying process is not high, and the product quality is good. The temperature range used for spray drying. Even if high-temperature hot air is used, the exhaust temperature will not be very high. In the initial drying stage, the material temperature does not exceed the wet bulb temperature of the surrounding hot air, which is especially suitable for heat-sensitive materials.

(3) The product has good dispersibility, fluidity and solubility. Since the drying process is completed in the air, the product instinctively maintains a spherical shape similar to the droplets, and has good fluidity.

(4) The production process is simplified and the operation control is convenient. Spraying is usually used to process solutions with a moisture content of 40%-90%, and can be dried into powder products at one time. Most products do not need to be crushed and screened after drying, thereby reducing the production process and simplifying the production process. The particle size, bulk density, and moisture of the product are within a certain range and can be adjusted by changing the operating conditions, which is more convenient to control.
